NRPL 3034 flew in Crooked River and won $1,440 finishing 24/640b @ 300m race. NRPL 3034 is nestmate to NRPL 3035 who was the 1st Ace Pigeon and 1st Overall Average Speed pigeon in the Crooked River Challenge race winning over $30,000 in the series.
I think Peppy San Badger is one of the best OLR breeding cocks around, but he just gets overshadowed by Florian’s out of this world results so Pepe San Badger never gets his due. Every year Pepe San Badger produces winners - big winners for me. Last year multiple money winners, including 1st Drop in Dash for Cash and money winner in Florida Derby Derby Final Race. This year already multiple money winners for me and I will guess I’ll get a couple more off him or his children this year. So very consistent.
This was obviously my first year breeding off Crown Jewel - NRPL 2154 - as she is only a 2022 bird. Only raised 4 youngsters off her with all 4 being her with Pepe San Badger. Two raced in Crooked River - both money winners. Two more are both racing - and not lost!!! - in a Texas race that hasn’t started racing yet. Maybe we will get 1 or 2 more good performances.
