AU 17 A 17489 Blue wft late hatch. Hatched June 1st. Bred by Ed Minvielle.
This is a very special youngster, inbred "Fieneke 5000." Some years ago I purchased a hen from Dr. Al Piaget whose grandparents were "Kleine Dirk" and "Fieneke 5000." I paired that hen to an inbred son of "Aske" that I had purchased from Barry Yu. Some of the other birds I had obtained of the same blood did not work out for me, but the children of the pairing of "Askson" to "Koopvoortje" have been magic. I am now breeding from 4 sons and 2 daughters of the pair, and I have other children of "Askson" when he was paired to other "Fieneke" hens. Most of "Askson's" children have been top breeders for me. The great thing about this blood is that it crosses great with my Van Loons, Musketiers, Van Schoorisse, Janssens and even the Vechtra Blacks. A half sibling from the same sire to "489" from last year, banded AU 16 A 16333 scored in 9 consecutive races from 100 to 500 miles for Mike Cortes in Florida. We named her "Iron Lady" and she is an AU Qualified Long Dist, All Dist and Middle Dist. Ace and was 4th Champion Bird Florida Federation. Other close relatives to "489" that have flown especially well recently are "Deandra" banded AU 16 A 16422 and flown by Dean Ledet, was 4th Champion Bird Greater New Orleans Combine, and won 1st Combine 550 miles for Dean. Another is "Dirk" flown by Bobby Devorsky banded AU 15 A 15234, winner of 1st 200 mi, 1st 300 mi, 1st 400 mi and 2nd 500mi and was 1st Champion Bird Central Texas Combine North for Bobby. Another close relative a couple of seasons ago was 13120 "Super Askop" flown by Ian Davies in New Orleans, and she won 2nd Champion Bird Greater New Orleans Combine. This blood is the real deal. It will cross with just about anything, and as you can see above, it will win at all distances and can go just about every week.
