AU-19-ARPU-79358 BB Cock is a well-built and medium in size straight DeRauw-Sablon off of direct imports from Belgium. The father was bred by the late Andre Verbesselt (known for his DeRauw-Sablons and his famous breeding hen, “Miss Joice”) and the mother was bred by the well-known “Flanders Collection” and is inbred to Marcel Aelbrecht's famous Bak 17 Pair. The parents to #79358 have produced far more cocks than hens so I have extra cocks from this particular mating. I am breeding from several of his brothers and sisters. His nest-brother, in his first year of breeding in 2020 (as a yearling), produced a youngster that flew in the America’s Average Speed Championship OLR and placed 126th @ 250 M vs 509 B; 10th @ 300M vs 481 B; 30th @ 350 M vs 473 B; etc., and finished 19th in AVG. SPEED with a large number of birds initially entered and approximately 550 birds going to the first race. Another full-brother (also as a yearling) produced 15th @ 204 M vs 1012 B; 45th @ 262 M vs 971 B; etc. (See the pedigree for more information). NOTE: The bird is molting now and the photo was taken a few months ago.
The DeRauw-Sablons are a very successful and closely bred family of pigeons and are in the background of many big winners here in the US, and in Belgium, Holland, and a number of other countries. Because they are an inbred and line-bred family, the DeRauw-Sablons will also make a great cross with just about any other good family of birds.
