These birds are bred for very tough conditions and long distance races. Cross this with your speed bird to add stamina.
If you are looking for Stichelbaut that has a background with a proven record, this is your chance to acquire a great addition to your loft. This bird will be done moulting and ready to breed you champions this up coming breeding season.
Perfect medium size. Long cast. This bird is direct from the old line 100% Stichelbaut of Frans Labeeuw. One pin tail. Long distance bird. Pedigree of the parents are also included. Please bid with confidence. Thank you.
As far as the Stichelbauts are concerned, fortunately there is Frans Labeeuw, who we can easily call the last source of Stichelbaut pigeons in Belgium - and perhaps even worldwide. A source that does not alone breed Stichelbauts, but strongly performs with them too.
The Australian Pigeon Racing Journal:
The Stichelbaut Pigeons
The big advantage about Stichelbauts is they excel on very hard days and easterly winds. Graham Davidson SCF still holds the record for Bundaberg to the SCF Fed over 650 miles on the day. With a Stichelbaut they will fly 700 miles. My BLUE CAVIAR & my Adelaide prize winner were half Stichelbauts and they survived some very hard lead up races. Even though Stichelbaut sold out in 1946, these pigeons are still very much in demand in England & Europe today. Fetching big money to purchase them, the Base Pigeons for the Rauw Sablons are Stichelbauts.
Very determined pigeons with a will to keep going when the going gets tough. A must to have in every loft in my opinion. It does not matter how much you feed them, they don’t put on weight.
