The Buitta family is known not only on race day for their toughnes on 

the distance races, but their impeccable beauty/body conformation. They were created by a gentleman by the name of George Buitta who was the 

loft manager of Curtis 

Bastine back in the 40's and 50's. The Buittas 

came to the Twin Cities area back in the 60's, and immediately had an i

mpact. Many fanciers 

even today, in the 

Minnesota area can 

attribute much of their success especially at the distance races to this family of birds. 

Buittas seem to cross well with just about any 

family, and this is a
