Description
AU2020 Sierra Ranch 2067 Blue Bar Hen
Double Granddaughter of '4747' (Foundation Male)
Granddaughter of 'SR 2196' Great Flyer and One of Steve's Best Hens
Granddaughter of 'SR 1966' (1st Place High Sierra Classic OLR Winner)
'SR 2067' is a nice handling hen with great orange eyes that is a double Granddaughter of Steve's famed '4747' cock. Her Parents are two of the last children of '4747'. She is also a Granddaughter of 'SR 2196' one of his best breeding hens ever and 'SR 1966' also one of his best breeding hens ever and 1st Place High Sierra Classic 2006.
This hen 'SR 2067' was bred for inbred stock and has never been bred from. I have scoured Steve's breeding records do not show her ever being paired. Notes also show she was in Steve's fly loft which was an extra holding pen for birds he was not breeding from.
Both of her parents have bred some solid OLR performers but nothing exceptional. Her Grandparents including '4747' are all world class exceptional OLR producers. '4747' is Father of (20+) x 1st/Equal 1st in OLR's and Grandfather to many more. It's rare to find one of Steve's winners over the past 15 years that does not have '4747' in the pedigree.
'SR 2067' is medium-small in size with a strong back, tight vents, very soft feather, nice wing vibration with good length to her wings. She has good muscle and great buoyancy. She has really nice rich orange eyes. See Youtube Video for Handling Notes.
She is for sale as part of the late Steve Sterchi (Sierra Ranch's) Estate Sale for some of his top breeders. My friend Steve passed away last fall and I (Matt Hans) am listing some of the top birds here on Ipigeon for his wife Kim. Proceeds from auction go to Steve's wife Kim.
