Granddaughter of foundation male '4747'
'SR 844' is a proven racing and breeding Granddaughter of Steve's famed '4747' which was the foundation pigeon of his loft for many years before he went infertile. 'SR 844' has been lightly bred from the last few years (only one round in two of three years) but she has bred multiple diploma winners for a couple of flyers in our CCC combine and bred a good performer in the 2022 Apple Cup Series

She also has bred combine diploma winners for 2 Different Flyers in Camellia Combine.
She is a Sister of multiple 1st Place Winners and also some excellent breeders. Her Sister 'Pure Gold' bred SR-1063 who won Equal 1st @ 334 Mile Final Race Gold Country Challenge 2022. Another Daughter of 'Pure Gold' won 12th Place Overall Ace Pigeon 2022. A Grandchild of 'Pure Gold' won EQ 1st (2nd in Clock) @ 309 Miles Blue Bucket 2024. Another Sister of 'SR 844' has also bred multiple winners
An Uncle (Full-Brother of her Father) named 'Charley W' was a standout performer for Steve in the South African Million Dollar Race Series. 'Charley W' won 3rd Place Car Race 2, 13th Place Car Race 3, and 99th Place in the Final Race SAMDPR
'SR 844' is medium to medium-small in size and fuller bodied with a lot of muscle. She has a strong back, one pin tail, soft feather, nice wings with good vibration, and nice well above average pearl eyes with larger circles of correlation. She shows good character in the hand. She is for sale as part of the late Steve Sterchi (Sierra Ranch's) Estate Sale for some of his top breeders. My friend Steve passed away last fall and I (Matt Hans) am listing some of the top birds here on Ipigeon for his wife Kim. Proceeds from auction go to Steve's wife Kim.
