Due to the need of more of my time and attention to my career and family, I’m again having to push back my return to racing locally. It’s safe to say it’s probably going to be several years before that’s a reality. I currently have the largest group of settled and trained birds since we moved to our new location 3 years ago and my plans will be to work with only settled birds for the future. It’s a hard decision, but the right one to begin selling breeders that are prisoners, some that I’ve spent the past three years working with and have become very attached to. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be offering these directs from Greg McKnight, beginning with very reasonable starting bids compared to how much I’ve invested in them in recent years. In the past few years I’ve sold breeders that I brought in for only a season or two and fanciers have taken advantage of offers like this and purchased 2 or more breeders at a time. Without fail, I get phone calls and emails with praises of the success of these birds and their immediate impact in the stock loft. “Maxine” (“Lady Excellence” on pedigree) AU-22-JEDDS-709 PEN Hen is a 10 out of 10 SVR hen, nestmate to “Max” who has left his mark on our loft!! In December of 2023 I was “Maxine” listed on ipigeon.com by a fancier getting out of the sport. I knew immediately she was “Max’s” nestmate and jumped at the opportunity to bring her into my program. I mated her to “Your Majesty” and raised a lot of very nice youngsters! She is always an outstanding hen to me in the loft and raised high quality youngsters every round. She’s a touch under medium sized and cut from the same cloth as “Max” - super strong body, tight vents, pin tail, excellent supple muscle, buoyancy, soft feathers, reaching wings with a step, and highly rated orange yellow eyes by Greg. You can see in her pedigree what’s expected from this line of birds! New owner will be very pleased!!
