Auction Details:

Greetings my friends and family,

I will be hosting a benefit auction to help raise funds for my father-in-law's funeral. All proceeds will go directly toward the funeral expenses. I will offer birds that are currently in my breeding team.

In Hmong tradition, funerals are held over three days. The family typically hosts and provides multiple meals and special rituals during the ceremony, and people from all over the country come to pay their final respects. Funeral costs can exceed upwards of $60,000.

This past weekend, we gathered as a family to celebrate Father's Day with our father, Cha Toua Her. Little did we know it would be our last gathering with him. As we mourned and prayed, we witnessed our father undergoing life resuscitation, while our children wondered if they would see their grandpa again. Grandpa Cha passed away on Friday, June 14th, at 8 PM.

Cha was well-known in the Hmong community. During the Vietnam War, he served as a dentist and spokesperson for the community, known as Dr. Toua. His family moved to the United States later in life, initially residing in Appleton, Wisconsin, and later moving to Minnesota.

He was also a hobbyist who enjoyed raising bantam chickens, pigeons, and various exotic birds. Father Cha enjoyed the outdoors, cultural preservation, and, most importantly, spending time with family. His stories and smile will be deeply missed.
