To my Pigeon Family,

            This has taken me awhile to figure out exactly what I want to say.  How do I write an email to some people that I’ve never even met and know they feel the gratitude from my heart?  First, thank you to Mike and Deb Ganus for the idea and work into putting this fundraiser together.  I cry more over the kindness of people then I do for myself.  Thank you EVERYONE who prayed, thought of our family, donated in many ways, and bid on the site.  I honestly can’t thank you ALL enough.  So many phone calls, my heart was bursting. 

            The family and many friends lost a magnificent man.  Mike’s family always came first and then his endless fishing.  He spent countless of hours on the river in his bass boat.  One thing he wanted to do was to travel to Florida and Fish with Fred Iantorno, but his health started to decline, and we never made it there.  After the service, Fred took a little of Mike fishing in Florida before releasing his ashes in the lake.  It makes me happy that a part of him is where he wanted to be. 

            Mike would like the remaining of his ashes in the Susquehanna River where he launched his boat.  Because of ALL of you, we are going to do something a little more.  Some of the funds will go towards a memorial bench to honor Mike.  The borough of Wrightsville is in the process of renovating the boat launch.   When completed they will allow me to add a bench for Mike!  I will send pictures when completed. 

I can’t thank you enough for everything.  See you at the Hoosier Race!!
